SEHP has taken on the mandate to equip selected health facilities to enable them to function at thier fullest capacity, providing healthcare support for citizens. Often, there is immense pressure on medical facilities in rural areas to serve large numbers of people with resources which are either run-down or non-existent. This, of course, leads to unnecessary avoidable deaths.
Recently, the Tamale Teaching Hospital received a consignment of medical supplies for the surgical, orthopaedic and radiology departments. The Tamale Teaching Hospital serves as a referral hospital for the three regions of the north. Its mandate is to provide advanced clinical health services, support the training of the undergraduates and postgraduates in medical sciences. It also undertakes research for the purpose of improving health care.
