Selected entries from each edition are compiled and published in a\u00a0widely-acclaimed\u00a0anthology, providing invaluable exposure for emerging writers.\u00a0<\/p><p>The SBLP has already published two impactful anthologies;\u00a0&#8220;All Ghana a Stage,&#8221; featuring selected entries from the maiden edition, and\u00a0the most recent,\u00a0&#8220;We move, Ghanaian Dream in motion,&#8221; released in November 2024. First place winners will be awarded laptops and cash prizes of GHS 5000.00. Second place winners will receive GHS 3000.00, and third place winners will be awarded GHS 2000.00. Writers placing from 4thto 10th\u00a0in each category will receive GHS 1000.00. Additionally, all top thirty (30) shortlisted entries across categories will be published in the anthology.\u00a0<\/p><p>For the 2025 edition, we invite you to engage with the captivating theme, <strong>\u201cReimagine Africa\u2019s Folktales for the Next\u00a0Generation\u201d<\/strong>. We are seeking original and compelling creative works that will resonate with young Ghanaian readers\u00a0beginning from age 9.<\/p><p>Submissions should creatively explore the theme by:\u00a0<\/p><p>\u25cf\u00a0Retelling African myths and folktales.\u00a0<br \/>\u25cf\u00a0Exploring and celebrating traditional symbols.\u00a0<br \/>\u25cf\u00a0Using storytelling to inspire environmental responsibility and climate action.\u00a0<br \/>\u25cf\u00a0Creating African Heroes and Heroines as role models for Ghanaian children and youth.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong>\u00a0The competition is open to Ghanaian citizens between the ages of 15 and 30 years.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Submission Guidelines:\u00a0<br \/><\/strong>\u25cf\u00a0<strong>Word Count:<\/strong>\u00a0Entries must be between 1,000 and 1,500 words.\u00a0<br \/>\u25cf\u00a0<strong>Genres:<\/strong>\u00a0Submissions are accepted in Fiction, Non-fiction, and Poetry.\u00a0<br \/>\u25cf\u00a0<strong>Entry Limit:<\/strong>\u00a0Each individual may submit one entry.
